Sketchbook Project Update - Mission Accomplished!

Finally finished 40 pages of drawing and writing in my little red moley.... Posted my sketchbook on Friday. It's called "Kavya's Magic Blanket Ride" and it's about a little girl's adventures on her magic blanket which takes her to places around the world.... like a travel book for kids!
Now back to some IF and my digital book creation.... Next book - my very own pet project. It's a secret!!!! Meantime, here are some finished pieces that I'm very proud of!

Work, Work, Work.... A Good Start!

There is nothing more I enjoy than a good challenge, so I just wanted to show off what I spent my Christmas break working on. These samples for a book did not quite make the cut. I was happy with them as samples. Now back to work on my Sketchbook Project entry which is nearly done... and time to get cracking on another e-book, as well as my own pet project. Still more work to do... Psyched!

IF: Winter

I miss white winters sometimes after making the move from northern New Hampshire to northern California... there is something poetically beautiful about white winters and a white Christmas.... and for me it's surely a novelty being used to southern hemisphere Christmas days spent by the beaches of Australia!

Illustrator Profile

I am now featured on IllustrationMundo and might soon be featured on Nisha John's blog about artists of Indian origin... Hoping to raise the profile and shamelessly self-promote!!!!

IF: Mail

Around this time of year, family takes the spotlight... so for my mum's upcoming birthday, I made a card out of leaves from the nearby park which I will pop in the mail.... It's amazing to think that it will fly all the way to Australia.... wish I could mail myself!!!

On it goes...

I'm as proud as any mum would be. My son and I just did an 8 week art class for toddlers.... He had a blast and here are some pics of his work (assisted by mum!)....

Above: Ceramic Book-end with double-decker bus, and cars coming out of a tunnel.... all his favourite things! Below: Acrylic on canvas swirls and handprints...

Sketchbook Project.... Phenomenon (IF)

Hopefully, this project will soon turn into a phenomenon! I'm making serious progress on my 'story' - "Kavya's Magic Blanket Ride" and sketches. Come in, take a load off... The last one and most of them will still get worked over some more... hope you like it!
